TIPS and TECHNIQUES

To download the image to your computer:
- PC: Right-click on the image. Your browser will prompt you to save it to your hard drive. Be sure to specify where you want the picture to be saved so that you can find it again.
- MAC: CMD-click on the image. Your browser will prompt you to save it to your hard drive. Be sure to specify where you want the picture to be saved so that you can find it again.

To put images on your web pages, use this html code:
Images load quicker if you specify WIDTH and HEIGHT tags:
To add space around images so text doesn't rest right on the image, use HSPACE and VSPACE tags:
Please DO NOT reference these images in your image source tag. It slows down your page (because visitors access TWO pages), and it uses "bandwidth" making the provider mad. Download the images and place them on your server. Thank you!

To send the image and html file to your server, use an FTP program. A popular shareware FTP program, "WS FTP", is available at Tucows, just search for FTP.

To make an image your background wallpaper, replace the <BODY> tag with:
Remember, view the source code of web pages. Ask the question, "How did they do that?" There is a lot to be learned about html by looking at the source code on pages you like.
